Our mechanical services include all process piping, air handler installation, sheet metal, plumbing and insulation.
Specialized Services
PP&L provides specialized services, including high purity piping, all gases for research, medical gases, chiller installations and chiller piping.
Mechanical Construction
PP&L can perform line stops for system additions without shutting down buildings. We install air handlers, heat exchangers, generators and air compressors.
Plumbing Services
We can install lab waste systems, floor priming trap systems, double wall waste piping, DI water, WFI water and high purification systems for R&D labs.
Sanitary Process Piping
We can install sanitary piping for any lab application and have the capability of installing SIB systems, polypropylene systems for DI water, product transfer stainless steel and single wall acid waste systems.

A daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is performed to ensure each journeyperson is aware of the potential hazards that can be encountered, implementing accepted safety and health practices. In addition to daily JSA review, PPL provides forklift training, LOTO, working from elevated platforms and high reach certification. These are but a few of the courses provided on a regular basis to ensure a safe, compliant workplace for our employees. Safety practices designed for every stage of the project are communicated to employees through this educational process and routinely monitored.

PP&L Mechanical Contractor provided and installed critical utilities for a major pharmaceutical company, ensuring that high-priority projects, including COVID 19 research, remained on schedule. As the pandemic demanded specific staffing and coordination, PP&L continued to perform this critical work, completing it on time and within budget.
PP&L tested and repaired building humidifiers for a major discovery lab facility that had been shut down and was being brought back to life. In addition to the humidification work, PP&L replaced a large number of steam traps that were passing steam, saving the building owners thousands of dollars in energy savings.
PP&L provided complete biowaste development for lab users creating a parallel waste system to handle the waste stream while completely replacing the current system. This parallel system ensured the user that there would be no interruption to production during the construction.
PP&L provided a new mechanical system at a major higher education facility in the Philadelphia area. Systems installed included new HVAC equipment, new plumbing and fixture installation.
PP&L partnered with a general contractor to replace the HVAC ductwork and Air Handling Unit (AHU) at the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia. Work included new Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes and hot water to the boxes.
